A quick recap for #MFC4023 Core Production Skills students on using anchor text.
What links should I use? Where should I link to and why?
Try this handy mnemonic. You can use each type more than once, or all six in one post if you like.
SPIRAL:
S | Self-promotion — internal link to own site content.
P | Practical tool — do this, buy this, watch this.
I | Influencer — grow your audience — get their attention.
R | Relationship maintenance — shout out to your solid supporters.
A | Authority — prove your point, gain trust.
L | Location — build local community.
PUTTING IT INTO PRACTICE:
Rewrite these sentences to make the most of the anchor text.
Think: Why is it poor anchor text? What am I linking to? Why am I linking there?
